letter to Mis Wright

Dear Mrs Wright,

Thank you for the Duffy books you gave to us.

My favourite was Captain Underpants because it was an activity in the story. It had a word search which was really cool. Another cool book I got was called 3d shark. It had glasses in it.

I hope that you are having a good time and we get to see you at a Duffy Assembly next year.

Yours sincerely,
Christopher

Manaiakalani Film Festival

When I went to the Manaiakalani film festival 2012 at Sylvia Park we went on the bus. At school we went on the back of the bus and the people were noisey. When we got there we were the first ones there.

We had to get into two lines outside at the car park and we walked to the movies with our teacher. When we walked we saw the school’s movies advertised on big walls.

We moved to the side so all the schools so there could fit in the foyer and then we got to go in first and sit at the back of the theatre.

My favourite part was Tamaki college’s movie  when they did the Azonto song because they were wearing the masks.

games at the back of the seat. Then the brother came and said to the Mum “We forgot the  Baby at home.” Later on they went to the baby. The baby was crying, Then the Mum came to the baby’s room and took the baby to the his Dad.

Kids for Kids Concert

In the afternoon I went home and got ready and then I came to back to school to go to the Telstraclear Centre to perform at the Kids for Kids Concert.

When I got to school I saw Frank, Simeone, Taiwan, Justin, Ocsa and Savelio. We all waited for Mrs Tui for her to come take us to the place. We saw Miss Tui came up with a big, white van and she said “wait out here and I will  get two hats from my Classroom for you to wear”. She came back out and we got inside the van.

When I got inside I sat at the back with Savelio, Ocsa and Justin and Mrs Tui turned on the van and we put on our seatbelts.

Off we went and we were heading along the motorway. I saw Misiotei at the back of us  and then I looked at the front and we were nearly at the Telstraclear Centre.

We went into the parking and there was heaps of cars, vans and then we found a parking spot and we got out of the van and followed Miss Tui to the Telstraclear Centre.
We saw a door in the middle and we walked in there and we saw heaps of children running around and we had to sit down and wait for the children to be quiet.

We had to get in line and head out onto the stage. I had to sit near Frank and we got ready then the curtain open wide and everyone was clapping us.

It was an awesome night.

Music Evening

On Thursday we had a music evening at the hall. It was full of people and all the children from St Pius X sat at the front we started off with a pray from room two.

After the prayer we had  a stick song from room one and then some Mum’s and Dad’s came to put money on the children. Girls from Room 7 came and did a Maori dance and then it was room 4 with a dance called ‘the boogie’.
It was room 5’s turn, they played their recorders and some of them played the marimba’s. When they finished it was finally our turn to get up.

When I got up I was nervous because I was in the front with frank and simone. When the music started I was shy because I didn’t like looking at the audience.

My favourite part of the musical evening was when people got money because they were so good.

Cross Country

On Friday 24 August, it was a bright and sunny day for  St Pius X  School to have their cross country.  Family and friends of the school enjoyed watching the children having fun.

We had to wait for the little children to go first. When my  the ten year old turn was up was very happy.  We had to get up and walk up to the office.  We got into lines and took a photo. After the team photo we ran down the driveway. We used our water bottle to wet our heads and continue to  jog the rest of the way.  When I got back to school I had to run around  the tennis court once and then we had to run and sit down in our age group. After I finished running I had a stitch.

Soon we went back to class and had our fruit and then we waited for the bell to ring. Afterwards we lined up outside to go home. I was very tired and had sore legs.

netbook description

I got my netbook on the first day of the year.

It looks like a little laptop and it is black and shiny and light. It is thin and shaped like a rectangle. My netbook has keys and a camera on the top and it feels hard.

At night my netbook stays in the C.O.W and it gets charged.  During the day I use it for my work and when I am not using it is in my tote tray.

We are some of the first people in New Zealand to have our netbooks.

I have to take responsibility of myself on the internet and it is not a toy but it is a learning tool.

Suddenly the wind blew me down the hole. When I was in the hole I saw trees and buses and when I looked down to the sign it said Orange Mz.

Orange Mz had grass and cars everywhere.  It looked like a fun place.

A big man walked past me, he was huge and he talked to me. He said “take this to your world”. He handed me a Bayblade, The Bayblade was round and it was hard and grey.

I went back to my world and I kept it somewhere safe where no one would find it.

We went inside the houses and we had to look for modern things. We went in and we saw an oil lamp and bread on an oven. We saw lamps and tools which was very cool. After that I saw wood, shoes, beds and toys, papers and we saw lots of mail in the little shop.

I went to the next house and I saw a market with lots of things on shelves. After that we went to the last house, they had no tv because they had no electricity.

Prayer Time

We have prayer time.  We sit in a circle and we have a cloth and candles which we light to show that God is in the room.
We start it off with the sign of the cross. We have two prayer leaders who say our prayers.
The prayer leaders finish our prayer by leading us with the sign of the cross and then they blow the candles out.
